8125 wifi connection

The soft reset doesn't do it. I am guessing the problem started after I installed Tweaks2k2. NET, which is a program that safely tweaks many options in the registry. It works great and has greatly sped up my phone but it may be the cause of this problem. The strange thing is that the program has an option that will put a wifi and bluetooth icon on the Today screen. The icons are suppose to activate when you turn wifi or bluetooth on much like the standard icons that show up on the task bar when you turn wifi on but they act as though wifi isn't on either.

The comm manager shows the wifi icon highlighted as if its on, but thats as much as it gives me. For some reason the phone doesn't always recognize it when I put it in.

It use to recognize it immediately and everytime when I first got it. I have read on other boards of people having the same problem but they say they just take it out for 30 seconds or so and put it back in and it works. Or some say they just have to take it out and put it back in a few times for it to work. I have to do that 30 or 40 times to get my phone to recognize the card.

Any ideas? Well I gave up and finally just did a hard reset on the phone and wifi works once again. I am assuming it was one of the apps that I put on the phone. Unfortunately the SD card is still very inconsistent. I have completely set everything as it should to connect, in fact I was browsing with no problem at all a few days ago on an apartment complex wifi.

All of the sudden when I turn the Wifi feature on, it acts as though it is on but I no longer get the little antenna icon at the top that indicates it is looking for a network. It use to bring up a list of available networks when wifi was on and i opened network cards.

Now it doesn't even give me the option to manually set up a network connection nor does it automatically find networks. Are my settings wrong? Is this a common problem and there is a patch? This thread is locked. Try this one Did you mean to say butt? I'm just wondering why you have an asterisk. I looked for the References at the bottom. But I couldn't find anything in the end. Hey I sorted it out turns out linux is sort of reversed when it comes to windows with this sort of thing This topic was automatically closed 90 days after the last reply.

New replies are no longer allowed. Sharing Wifi? You can follow one of these two methods: Or, if your laptop has Bluetooth, you could pair the two devices and share your laptop internet through the Bluetooth connection. I used to do this on Windows. My mistake. You would still be able to monitor network traffic by way of an app or your router admin page.
